Carol Romero-Wirth
Carol is a licensed attorney and consultant with a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico Law School and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the Lyndon Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin.  Her B.A. is in Political Science from Colorado College.  Her family roots are in the Mora Valley in Northern New Mexico.
 
Professionally, Carol has been immersed in public policy and government.    Currently, she is consulting in environmental policy.  Carol served as campaign manager and legislative assistant for her husband, State Representative Peter Wirth.  She helped start Think New Mexico, a statewide public policy think tank and served as Assistant Director from 1999 to 2003.   Carol has additional public service in both the legislative and executive branches of New Mexico state government including posts at the Legislative Council Service, the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department and the New Mexico Commission on Higher Education.
 
Carol is also an active community volunteer.
